The Thesis
We are a private holding firm, not a fund. The capital is our own and that of a small group of aligned principals, which means we answer to conviction rather than to a redemption calendar.
Our mandate spans the listed markets and the private ones. We take positions in public equities and fixed income, commit to managed funds where the manager earns it, and hold direct equity in operating businesses alongside partners we know. We favour assets with genuine liquidity and observable earnings over positions that can only be marked to a spreadsheet.
We move quickly and we hold quietly. A decision here involves a single table, not an investment committee, and we are as willing to sit on a board and operate as we are to write a cheque and step back. Most of what we own is never announced.
